  12. of video integration on NEXTSTEP is now shipping.

  15. THE SCREEN MACHINE II
  16. The high quality frame grabber and live video overlay board for
  17. NEXTSTEP on Intel. The supplied applications were improved and the
  18. driver has moved into a complete new release. The unique fact of the
  19. availability of a video developer kit on UNIX makes NEXTSTEP to the
  20. solution platform for customized video integration.

  24. THE PACKAGES

  26. The Basic Package
  27. This is a application and driver collection, which is needed to start
  28. up with Screen Machine II on NEXTSTEP. Included are the applications
  29. SMCamera specialized on frame grabbing and SMPreview for standard
  30. live overlay. This package also contains the driver license for the
  31. VDOboards driver, and a printed english manual. Not included is the
  32. hardware.

  36. The TV option
  37. For Screen Machine II are two different TV modules available. The
  38. internal solution is a 16 Bit ISA board which handles cable TV,
  39. antenna signals, stereo audio and video text. The external solution
  40. is connected with a special cable and offers the options as the
  41. internal board, but doesn't consume a slot.
  42. Not included is the hardware.

  46. The Audio option
  47. This is a additional hardware option which controls the video sounds.
  48. It supports three stereo inputs and two stereo outputs (rear and
  49. front). This option is automatically supported by any application at
  50. no extra costs.

  54. The Developer Kit
  55. The Screen Machine II Developer Kit offers more than 200 Methods in
  56. 11 classes to access the video board. Programmers now have video
  57. available at their fingertips. The design was completely integrated
  58. into NEXTSTEP, so that you are able to integrate live video into your
  59. application in only a few minutes. The SMPalette will give you an
  60. idea how.

  62. Included is an english manual and many source code examples as well
  63. as one year free support.

  69. Nearly every NEXTSTEP dealer offers bundles of software and hardware.
